(KTVI) - There is a young man from Louisiana, Mo named Cougar Clifford. This winter, with all the snow, he was having fun with his friends after a high school basketball game. Cougar did a flip into a snowbank and fractured a vertebrae in his neck. That was a month ago.

Cougar had surgery and is now facing a long road to recovery. He is still in St. Louis Children's Hospital. Cougar's mom, Colleen Clifford talks to Randi Naughton about her son's battle ahead and the efforts his family is making to pay the medical bills.

The Clifford family is holding a fundraiser next month:

April 19th
