ST. LOUIS (AP) – An 11-year-old boy shot dead inside his St. Louis home was a “model student” who was popular among his classmates and teachers.

Antonio was among seven people inside the home Wednesday night when a gunman climbed up on a ledge and fired eight to 10 shots through a first-floor window. Antonio, shot in the head, was the only person struck.

Police are still searching for the gunman and say it was a targeted shooting.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Antonio’s death hit hard at Froebel Elementary School. His fourth-grade teacher, Donna Horton, says Antonio was shy but popular, a hard-working boy who was studious.

This poor kid, even at his young age, he knew the value of an education, unlike most of the folks that surrounded him.

Let’s hear more about the three adults and two teenagers in the house. Did they have jobs? Do the two teens attend school? What are their lifestyles?

Yes. Paul Ryan is right, even though liberal excuse-makers like E. J. Dionne lambasted him in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for even daring to mention the word “culture” when talking about the out-of-control culture of murder and violence in black neighborhoods. Yes, it’s culture. Not our culture, but the bizarre thug culture of out-of-wedlock births, fatherless homes, ridicule of education, no-snitch rules and worship of rap stars and criminals.

Folks, it’ll never be solved until we can be honest about what the problem is…

Talk, talk openly, talk accurately, even when the Al Sharptons and Eric Holders of the world will not.
