(KTVI)-- Franklin County authorities have busted a Washington, Missouri couple for being behind a pot-growing operation worth $50,000.
The pair, believed to be in their late 50s or early 6os have not been charged. We're told an anonymous tip led authorities to a gated home where they found 22 plants.
“He said it was for personal use, that he wasn't selling it here in the county. With this amount of marijuana it's hard to believe that. As a matter of fact some of these jars are are labeled to sell,” said Cody Lucas with the Franklin County Narcotics Unit.
Some of the plants were six feet tall.
