ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) _ A school bus driver has been fired for texting while driving for the Francis Howell School District.

Francis Howell spokeswoman Jennifer Henry told The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1kcdK7O) that a middle-school student took a video of the driver texting with kids on board Thursday, and parents contacted the district.

District officials said the company the driver worked for fired the driver as a result of the incident.

Drivers age 21 and under in Missouri can be ticketed for texting and driving.

Glad they fired the driver. Obviously, the driver had no concern for the safety of the on board students.
