Calhoun County High School evacuated for bomb threat

CALHOUN COUNTY, IL (KTVI) – Around 1:30 pm Monday, the Calhoun County High School was evacuated due to do a letter found in the school saying a bomb was in the building.

The Illinois State Police, Secretary of State Police, Secretary of State Capitol Police, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.

Bomb sniffing dogs from the Secretary of State Police, and Secretary of State Capitol Police were used to search the building. No bomb was found in the building.

An investigation is ongoing.
