Because of the high cost of the indoor shooting ranges across the area,I can understand why the streets are used for practice. They need to hone their skills. God knows they don’t want to hit a innocent kid by accident.

I love street theater, but it deflect away from the root cause of the problems within the minority community.

Ed, Taking away the freedoms of the majority because of the actions of a few minorities is not the answer. stick to your postings on the post blogs and get those taxes collected.

The shooting did not happen on Tucker. Why is everyone reporting that? It occurred no further east that about 17th street. The shots were definitely west of me and I live on 17th. The cops that were driving the wrong way on Pine street in search of the shooter(s) were on the right track. I originally reported online (not to police) that the shots were heard apx 18th and Chestnut. Okay, so it might have been Market Street.

A couple of corrections and missed points. First, they were not driving toward Downtown. Market Street from Union Station to the Arch IS Downtown. Secondly, this stretch of Market, our civic center, is kept very dark at night ,both sides of Market, the street, and Soldiers Memorial Plaza. This area should have been brightly lighted with reopening of Kiel Opera House and the whole area brought to life.
But grand center applied the screws. Applied the power. The opera house is wasted on banquets and weddings, its area is deliberately kept dark. People go in side doors. Disgraceful.
