Students from the district have taken to Twitter this afternoon with a steady stream of condolences to the man’s family. They have described him as a study hall teacher at Eureka High School and have also referred to him as a coach. Rockwood Schools could not confirm the man coached any teams at the high school. Most of the students' tweets described him as a popular teacher, respected by many students.
This is the latest tragedy to strike the Eureka High School family in less than a year. 17-year-old Kathleen Oliver and her 18-year-old sister Lauren Oliver were killed August 2013 in a car accident right before the start of the school year.
