Apple wants to make your home smarter

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Imagine being able to adjust the heat, turn off the lights and run various household appliances with your phone.  The 'Tech-Giant' will unveil new software that will turn your iPhone into a smart remote control from home. The company is talking to electronics and appliance makers about making their products compatible with Apple's systems.

The plan is set to unveil next week.
