Texas couple arrested after claim of boyfriend hiding other woman in wall
Livingston, TX (KETK) – Two East Texans were taken into custody Saturday morning after a caller claimed a woman was hiding inside their mobile home wall .
Laura Leigh Hollis, 28, and Daniel Scott Homan, 35, both of Livingston, were arrested and charged with multiple crimes, according to Livingston Police Department Lt. Matt Parish.
At around 7:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the scene on Allie Bean Drive after a woman told police her boyfriend was hiding another woman in the wall. Once authorities arrived, Hollis, whom appeared to be intoxicated, met law enforcement in the driveway and led them inside the home.
When officers stepped in the house, drugs and paraphernalia were in plain view. The officers proceeded to check the wall, which already had holes in it, and found no person. Hollis then claimed the woman must have escaped and was hiding beneath the house.
During this time, the woman led authorities to 2.5 grams of methamphetamine. The couple was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hollis faces an additional charge of public intoxication after she met police outside the home. Homan, whom was present during the search, was found with marijuana on him and was charged with possession of marijuana.
Both were booked into the Polk County Jail. Hollis’ bail was set at $2,700. Homan is being held on $17,100 bond.
