(KTVI)- An active weather pattern has been stuck over the St. Louis area and that has been tough for folks with outdoor plans. Warm, humid days have turned into stormy afternoons making it hard to get things in without delays. Thunderstorms in June are nothing new, but with the same weather happening over and over and over again, some people are getting a little sick of it.
The AJGA St. Louis Junior at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club is one of those events that comes to our area because of the nice June weather, and brings plenty of visitors to take in the action. But did those visitors bring the sunscreen and the rain gear? Players took to the course early Sunday for a tune up before the clouds and rain moved in.
Golfers aren't the only ones struggling. More than forty thousand baseball fans will pack Busch Stadium again Sunday and they will also have an eye to the sky. Saturday's game saw not one but two rain delays, keeping only the heartiest fans in the stands to the end of the game.
Of course, where there are thunderstorms there is also sometimes storm damage. At a University City home on Bartmer, a large tree came crashing down on during Saturday’s storms, crushing two trucks.
