ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KTVI) – A man walking a goat made for quite a show in Creve Coeur.

Steve Wescott is walking across America with his goat, Leroy Brown.

“I’m walking 3800 miles across the country to raise money for an orphanage my friend and I started in Nairobi, Kenya,” said Wescott. “He's there with the kids. I'm here with the goat."

The two unlikely companions started at the Space Needle in Seattle more than two years ago. Eventually they will end up at Times Square in New York City.

Wescott said some days they travel just four miles; other days they can do 20, depending on the goat's mood and the number of people who stop to talk with him. The two will be in town for two more weeks for speaking engagements.
