ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A woman discovered the identity of the person who took her phone when she posted a selfie on her Facebook wall.  Now, police say that the missing phone has been returned.

Alicia Warren tells FOX 2 that someone sold her mom’s phone Wednesday.  She got a phone call at 6:30am from a woman saying that she purchased the phone and wanted to return it.  Warren picked up her mom’s phone from the O’Fallon police department on Thursday.

Her mother, Sandy Barbee, was shopping for work supplies at an O`Fallon Sam`s Club on Tuesday night.  She found out her iPhone 5 was missing when she went to wash her hands in the bathroom. Hours later a selfie of an unknown woman showed up on Sandy`s Facebook page along with a vulgar post.

Police say no one is in custody and this is an ongoing investigation.
