(KTVI) – A Georgia man found himself in the unfortunate position of being alone overnight in Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport.  Instead of complaining, he chronicled his stay through the magic of song.

Richard Dunn of Canton, Ga., was bumped from two Delta Air Lines flights before he decided to entertain himself.

“I thought, ‘Well I don’t have enough time to go to a hotel so what do I do? I’ve got my phone and an empty movie set. Lets see what trouble I can get into,’” Dunn said.

After searching the internet for appropriate songs to his situation, he decided on Celine Dion’s version of “All By Myself.” Fashioning a tripod using tape, a ruler, his luggage and an iPhone, Dunn filmed himself lip-synching the song at various spots all around the airport, including elevators, restrooms and, ironically, a Delta help desk.

Dunn’s video has over 65,000 views on Vimeo.

If you watch the video, you will notice one of those “walk-way” belts right in front of the shot where he was sitting in the chair and you can see the camera panning past him. He states that he fashioned a “tripod” from a ruler, tape and his luggage, so my guess is that he put the luggage, make-shift tripod and camera on that walk-way and hit record on one end, ran to sit down and waited until it passed him by making it appear that someone was the camera man. All the other shots were probably done in the same way then through the magic of movie editing, he spliced all the scenes together. A lot of work! Great job!
