Blowing tarp injures baseball grounds crew

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CNN) - Several people were injured at a minor league baseball game in Iowa when severe weather suddenly rolled in.

A thunderstorm packing 80-mile-an-hour winds blows a heavy field tarp around after the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball game Monday.

It happened at Veterans Memorial Stadium as members of the team's staff and ground crew tried to pull the tarp over the field.

The wind blew the tarp on top of several people.

At least four were injured and three went to the hospital with possible concussions.
None of the players was on the field at the time and most of the fans had already left.
