LIVINGSTON, IL (KTVI)-- Homeland security, the US Customs and Border Patrol and other police agencies swarmed Livingston, Illinois.

They all parked in the field of a grade school.

The peacefulness of the town of 850 was broken by all the excitement.

The law officers would not comment about their operation, even to the school superintendent and they were using the school district’s land.

The site became an immediate attraction for citizens who say the officers were hospitable, inviting the kids to check out the choppers up close.

A spokesman in the U.S. Attorney`s Office said he cannot confirm or deny anything about an ongoing investigation. However we could learn more about this case Friday.

Probably got wind of one of the kids having a joint on them. Gotta surround those hard criminals. It’s certainly ashame this type of activity has just become a big joke.

The paranoia in these comments is hilarious. Yes, they ‘invaded’ a city of town of *850* people in order to ‘program’ a nation of almost 314,000,000 to accept martial law. Get a grip people.

Obviously Ralph has not been paying attention to what has been going on in America. But our friendly government has been paying attention to what you have been doing. I’ll bet the NSA knows more about what is in your email and what is on your cell phone than you do. Very sad that Americans like you can’t tear yourself away from “Family Guy” long enough to learn what your government is up to. Do you know that police shoot and kill, on average, 15 family pets every day in America. No, you didn’t know that, but I’ll bet you can name all of the “Simpsons”. Disgraceful.

Obviously THOMAS COKER, has not been paying attention to what has been going on in America! I’ll bet Ralph knows more about “Family Guy” and the “Simpsons” than you do! Disgraceful. Those are great shows.

Really? Get a Grip when, without warrant, without notice, and without ANY REASON of any kind, even to the highest authority, some alleged officer trespasses and disturbs the peace x850? by the way, trespass and disturbance of the peace are two SEPARATE Crimes, and x850 not just by one instance, but Every individual committing this… so you’re Well into the Thousands of crimes committed? Get a Grip on LAW sir, or they will have a grip on your freedom just as quickly as Nazi Germany did. I would remind you that Everything that transpired in Germany was “legal” then, too. they broke no “laws” (their codes) to commit a single atrocity. Get a grip indeed.

I am from there. Thats my hometown, And what is going on is I can assure you its a big deal. When I graduated in 99 there was 650.. very small town! So it wasn’t a joint.. and nor an immigrant issue . Its because of sick people in this world. And to let the kids see a helicopter nothing is ever there so many kids loved seeing it.. AND the school is still open not a banded. . Its just summer! Catch the sickos and burn them up

You know, the situation wouldn’t be as bad if they let a bit of insight to the people about what or whom they are there for. This whole “no coment” thing has me leery of the situation. I’m not saying they should tell us every detail of their opperation but communication is key. The thing that I don’t quite get is the size of the opperation. Seriously, I understand 10 -15 people max, but it looks like a small army to me. Call me paranoid, call me crazy but I have a gut feeling that whatever they’re there for isn’t something good

I used to see this kind of thing(not of this magnitude) all the time in down town St. Louis. ATF and/or DEA raiding drug houses/fugitive recovery. I am just curious as to what and who drew this much attention in our little area. This is a very small community. Meaning everyone knows everyone else. I would think someone up to something would have been the local gossip. Very odd to say the least.

Are th ring any type of manufacturing or packing company’s in Livingston or any towns around there? If there is I would be willing to bet they are hiring illegal aliens by the truckload. A couple of years ago I saw a plain white Step van stop at a rest stop near there and at least 25 Mexicans got out without anyone speaking one word of English.

  • NightSchool

I live right next to the school and was woke up when this started happening just letting everyone know the school was closed for good at the end of the school year and if its a training exercise thats probably why they chose this location.

    Ralph- you big dummy..!
…it’s not because Livingston ONLY has 850 people living in it…. those are the “KEY 850 PEOPLE” to bring down this nation. …it’s either that or I’ll go with a donut sale….

Federal agents, backed by local law enforcement, raided a home in rural northeastern Madison County Thursday morning.

Department of Homeland Security agents and Madison County Sheriff’s deputies blocked the driveway to the home located near the intersection of Silver Creek and Mriscin roads in Olive Township, between Livingston and Alhambra.

It is not known if anyone was taken into custody or for what authorities were looking. James Porter, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois, would not comment on the operation, nor would any law enforcement personnel at the scene.

Authorities used a farm west of Livingston as a staging ground before moving on the home, located about three miles away. Tactical units were seen leaving the area around the home around 11:20 a.m.

This is a drill or practice run. The government is waiting for some type of event causing civil unrest so they can implement martial law over much of the U.S. and have complete control over its citizens. Or they may not be waiting for such an event. There could be another event orchestrated by the CIA and/or others that will complete the American police state. Police at all levels from federal down to local have become much more militarized in the last 20-30 years. Anyone can see this. If you are not a fellow LEO or government official, you are viewed as a potential enemy combatant and seen as a threat. If there is significant civil unrest or mass protest that occurs somewhere in America, expect the police to move in and deal with the citizens the way the Soviet Union dealt with Hungary in 1956 and Czechoslovakia 1968. Those cops may have pretended to be friendly to some observers during that exercise but when it’s the “real thing” they will be anything but.

Probably the same deal as Cleveland, where the charter school group was run by some Turkish folks sending money back to people they shouldn’t have. They used all the same exact militia and tactics for that bust as well.

They were looking for 1337 aka leet aka elite hackers associated with groups like anonymous or other black hat hackers. Over the last 5 years the government is trying to fight a rise in cyber crimes which happens to be out of control. hackers are smarter than ever before and the government cant keep up. Not drugs or militia. there was no DEA on scene meaning no drugs. Its either bombs or cyber crime related for homeland security to be present.

    • Ronnie

Hummm, maybe some cyber-hackers recovered Louise Learners lost emails and Homeland Security took the dude down. Government can’t afford another Snowden.

    • Jim Louvier

Child porn? Yeah right. It doesn’t take that many people complete with helicopters to serve a warrant for child porn. The child porn is likely a manufactured charge to cover up what it was really about. Nothing stirs up more hatred for a person than those kinds of charges. They can’t afford another Snowden.

  • InTheKnow

A man known as a “weirdo” at that address made threats to blow up President Obama and the Government on twitter and Facebook so they showed up and took him into custody. That’s the truth..

  • NotTheDEA

they want kids to dish on their parent who doing drugs. and such just watch some of you will get a nice surprise at 4 in the morning when they shoot you’re dog and knock you’re door off the hinges

    • Jim Louvier

Yeah right. They don’t bring a small army and helicopters for child porn. Since when does border patrol, customs, and Homeland Security get involved in child porn raids? This was about something else and they don’t want public sympathy for the guy, so they make up a charge that is guaranteed to stir up public hatred.
The person likely had nothing more than information the government didn’t want out. They can’t afford another Snowden.
