(KTVI)- Saturday, July 12th, marked the 100th Anniversary of the debut of Babe Ruth.

His 1918 contract with the Boston Redsox was among the items auctioned in Baltimore this weekend.

He signed with the Sox for $5,000.

The document sold at the auction for more than a million dollars, which makes it the highest price ever paid for a sports contract.

Several other items from the Hall of Famer were sold at the auction.
