Police charge suspect from Bi-State chase

GLEN CARBON, IL (KTVI) – A Berkeley man has been charged with assaulting a police officer after a chase.

John Willis, 29, is accused of leading police on a chase that started in St. Louis and ended in Glen Carbon Illinois on Monday night. Authorities say St. Louis city police were chasing a car driven by Willis yesterday, because the plates were reported stolen. Bel-Ridge police joined in the pursuit on northbound-170.

They say two times Willis tried to hit a police cruiser, almost causing a collision.

Police chased Willis into Illinois where he was eventually arrested.

    A spook…imagine that. Must have changed his first name to john so he would be more eligible to get a job maybe sometime down the road when obama leaves office.
