ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) -St. Charles Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man involved in a stabbing incident last Friday.
According to police, the suspect took a cab from the airport to the 500 block of Jefferson Street in St. Charles just before 8 p.m.
When the cab driver arrived a the man's destination and told him the fare amount, the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and started stabbing the cab driver in the neck and both arms.
The driver got away after crashing into a parked vehicle.
The suspect stole the cab driver's cell phone and ran away. He was last seen running north on Benton Street. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as a tall black male, 20 to 30 years old. He was wearing a yellow shirt and dark colored shorts. Anyone with information should contact the St. Charles Police Department at 636-949-3330.
