(KTVI)- Beware of bugs: Doctors are warning people about a dangerous type of caterpillar that’s prevalent this time of year. It’s called the “puss caterpillar” and it’s covered in venom.
The inch-long caterpillar is covered in long, hair-like fur making it resemble a Persian cat. You don’t want to touch these guys.
That can cause intense pain, blisters, rashes, vomiting and convulsions. These caterpillars often fall out of oak, elm and citrus trees as well as roses and ivy plants.
