OVERLAND, MO (KTVI)- Two St. Louis County police detectives were involved in a car accident in Overland overnight. It happened around midnight on westbound Page Avenue at Burns, which is just west of I-170.

Overland police say the detectives were in an unmarked car when another car changed lanes in front of them. That forced the unmarked police car to swerve off the road and hit a utility pole.

One of the detectives has an injured foot.

Power was knocked out to a nearby apartment complex. Westbound Page Avenue was closed for a few hours overnight as workers replaced the damaged pole. It has since reopened.

There is no word if the driver of the other car will face charges.
