(STLMoms)- It's part of the compelling storyline on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, as a mom struggles with her son who has Autism. She's not alone as more and more children are being diagnosed.

Executive Director for Autism Speaks, Angela Dettmers, tells us a great way that you can help.

The St. Louis Walk is the largest autism community event in the region. It draws nearly 20,000 participants annually. More than 30 providers from the Greater St. Louis area will be on hand to discuss the services offered by their organizations.

There will be live music and entertainment, children activities and an adult initiative corner.

Although participation is not mandatory, many families come out to the park just to enjoy the day. The Walk Route is 1 mile and handicapped accessible.
