Community leaders and activist seek more input from Ferguson residents

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – A group of St. Louis community leaders and activist have been meeting in private to discuss the issues that face the City o Ferguson and its residents. The group, “Joint Community Relations Group” held a meeting Wednesday morning at St. Mark Family Church in Ferguson.

At the meeting the group announced they would be going public to bring more people into its coalition. Currently the coalition encompasses law enforcement officers, politicians and members of the clergy.

Organizers are seeking to expand the coalition to youth activist and the public to better address the issues facing Ferguson since the fatal shooting of Michael Brown.

The group is also working with the Department of Justice and is in the process of establishing a Facebook page and Twitter account using “Ferguson Fact Check”.
