ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Fall is really starting to show her colors across the bi-state. But experts say the best is still ahead, with peak viewing of fall foliage still 10-14 days away. Once the colors peak, the prime period lasts for about 10 days.
The combination of mild days and cool nights along with shorter days kick starts the changing of colors.
Missouri Dept. of Conservation provides a smartphone app that is serving to locate the best locations for fall foliage in the area. Search "Missouri Fall Colors" in the App Store on your phone for the latest updates.
