When it comes to wedding rings, size does matter. A study from Emory University finds the cheaper the engagement ring, the more successful the marriage.

Researchers looked at 3,000 American adults who had all been married at some point.  Those who bought or wore pricey engagement rings were more likely to end up divorced. Those who spent between $2,000 - $4,000 for engagement rings were 1.3 times more likely to get divorced.

The study says those who spent a $1,000 or less stayed married longer.
