FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Demonstrators started to gather near the Ferguson Police department at around 9pm Friday night. They were in the area to protest the use of excessive force by police.
Mike Brown, 18, was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer in August. Demonstrations broke soon after the shooting. Now, protesters are back in St. Louis as part of a, “Weekend of Resistance.” 6,000 people are in the area to stand with the movement that began with Brown’s death. There are protests planned on Saturday near the Cardinals playoff game and a religious service is set for Sunday.
