ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The historic Esquire theater on Clayton road re-opened Friday. The 75 year-old building got an extreme makeover.

Each of the theater's seven auditoriums are updated with large, cushioned recliner seats. Some of the historic details are still intact.

The Esquire is one of the oldest theaters in the AMC stable and extra steps were taken to keep some of its original Art Deco design. The hallways are lined with historical photos and the rainbow colored, mirrored entrance is also restored.
