Homeless man charged with murder for stabbing victim to death

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A homeless man is being charged in connection with a murder in South St. Louis. The Circuit Attorney’s Office issued warrants for Norberto Castilleja, 43.  He is being charged with Murder in the 1st and armed criminal action.

Police say Castilleja stabbed a 32-year-old man to death in the 3400 block of Montana on October 1st. Officers found  John Connor in the street with puncture wounds to the chest, abdomen and back.  They took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses report seeing Castilleja talking with Connor, according to a release from the St. Louis Police Department.  They say that the suspect chased the victim on foot before stabbing him with a knife.
