Robber with rifle holds up man at ATM in south county

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- A man with a rifle and wearing camoflauge robbed someone withdrawing money from an ATM in south county overnight. It’s located inside of the first set of doors at the Bank of America in the 4400 block of Lemay Ferry Road.

Investigators say the victim was withdrawing some money from the ATM late Thursday night when the suspect burst through doors, and threatened to shoot the victim if they didn’t hand over some cash.

After snatching an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect ran away.

Police went as far as using a helicopter to search the area, but they had no luck finding the suspect.

At this point police haven’t released a detailed description of the suspect.
