CREVE COEUR, MO (KTVI) – An 88-year-old driver crashes through the front of a Creve Coeur custom T-shirt shop and FOX 2 is the only station with the incredible video.

It happened at about 11:45 A.M. Monday, when Hanley Cohn, 88, was trying to park his Toyota Camry in front of Big Frogs Custom T-Shirts and More at the Creve Coeur Pavilion Shopping Center, when he apparently stepped on the gas instead of the brake, sending his car smashing through the front window, narrowly missing the owner and two of his employees.

'I heard the tires squealing and I looked up and I saw smoke coming off tires so I made an assumption that he was coming in,' said Linda House, a graphic designer who can be seen in the video dashing away from her desk just as the car hits it.

'I yelled at my co-worker and then jumped and ran and before you know it he was through the window and it was very loud,' she said.

Standing next to House before the crash was store owner John Hall. But he walked away to take a phone call just seconds before the car came flying through the glass.

'My initial reaction is `what just happened, ` and then I realized what just happened, and then my next reaction was irritation,' Hall said.

The only person hurt was House, who has minor back injuries.

'I feel unlucky and lucky,' Hall said. 'It was definitely bad luck but it could have been a lot worse.'
