South St. Louis murder victim identified by police

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The man found by his roommate stabbed to death has been identified by police. James Mattingly, 33, of the 2300 block of Russell was found lying on the floor, unconscious at around 2pm Monday.

Police say Mattingly had stab wounds to the back, neck and head and a cut to the face. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
