Boil order canceled for Glen Carbon, IL
UPDATE: The boil order for Glen Carbon, IL was lifted at 1:00pm Saturday, November 15.
GLEN CARBON, IL (KTVI)- A boil order is in effect for Glen Carbon, IL. Around 8:00am Friday, the village experienced a depressurization in its water system. The pressure disruption did not cause a water main break, but, just to be safe, a boil order will be in effect until further notice.
The boil order may be lifted by Saturday afternoon. Residents should check the village’s website for official updates.
Under a boil order, water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled for five minutes prior to use. Ice cubes made after 8:00am Friday morning should be discarded.
