GRANITE CITY, IL (KTVI)- Hold on everyone, FOX 2 is on a roll Friday morning! We're catty-corner to the Gateway Arch on the Illinois side of the river, where it's a sin not to like steel.
That's right. John Pertzborn and Randi Naughton are live in your neighborhood from Granite City!
They're surrounded by the smell of money, and an aloy of iron and carbon made by the U.S. Steel Corporation.
It's an industry that started cooking when the Niedringhaus brothers purchased land in the 1890s to produce granite ware, enamel covered steel pots and pans.
They started their morning at Kool Beanz Cafe, located at 1316 Niedringhaus Avenue.
