TOWN & COUNTRY, MO (KTVI)- The first snow of the season over the weekend and the continuing cold means a busier than usual Monday morning for AAA workers. FOX 2's Chris Regnier spent part of the morning inside of the AAA call center located near Highway 40 and Mason Road in Town and Country.

Workers at the facility were fielding weather-related calls. Most of those calls were for dead batteries and frozen locks.

Mike Right, a AAA spokesperson, says dead batteries are from our bitter cold temperatures are the biggest problem he expects to see today.

Right calls this weekend`s snow and cold basically a wake up call for drivers to get your car winterized if you haven`t done it already.

He says there are several maintenance issues to address including your battery, tire pressure and anti-freeze fluid levels.

Right also says he expects to handle 600 to 700 calls today-that`s an increase of about 20% over a normal day. However, in a big winter storm, right tells us AAA workers would handle 600 to 700 calls in just a couple of hours.
