ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - You may have missed all the billboards along the highway in St. Louis. But there’s no mistaking the cost. The You Paid For It Team discovered that the St. Louis Public School District paid $100,000 just to advertise on the billboards this school year. It's part of a marketing campaign to boost the district's image.
The entire campaign cost taxpayers $650,000 this school year. It includes newspaper, radio, and commercials at movie theaters.
We questioned the head of the Special Administrative Board that runs the school district, and which decided to spend your tax dollars on this.
Rick Sullivan tells why he thinks it's a good deal for you.
