ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Defiance Pet Parade and Holiday Festival has animals raising funds for Pony Bird and Five Acres Animal Shelter.

Pony Bird helps people with mobility issues. The Five Acres Animal Shelter helps end pet homelessness at the only no-kill animal shelter in St. Charles County.

Robin White, of the Defiance Pet Parade, shows us how to make sure our socially-conscious pooches can stay warm while walking to improve their community.

There is plenty to do for humans, too. There will be free cookies, hot chocolate and coffee. The Daniel Boone Elementary School Choir will sing. And, the entire family can enjoy Christmas stories.
