Firefighters battle two-alarm blaze at assisted living center in Herculaneum

HERCULANEUM, MO (KTVI)- Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at an assisted living center in Herculaneum. The fire started shortly before 6a.m. Monday morning at Autumn Ridge Residential Care and Senior Living.

Bommarito Automotive SkyFOX Helicopter was over the scene.

Firefighters from nearly 15 area departments responded to the call. No injuries have been reported. As of now, 35 residents have been transported to Mercy Jefferson Hospital. They are being treated for possible smoke inhalation.

It unclear if anymore residents are en route.

The fire is still under investigation.

The facility is located at 300 Autumn Ridge Drive in Jefferson County.
