ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Last week, the community of Nashville, Illinois buried the victims of a small plane crash and grieved with the lone survivor - a seven-year-old girl.

Meanwhile, a St. Louis dog named “Noah” made the rounds and is credited with bringing comfort to this small, southern Illinois city along with 11 other comfort dogs.

Last week, Noah was deployed with 11 other comfort dogs in Nashville, IL, for the visitation and funerals for the Gutzler family members. The dogs were also at the schools where the children who were killed in the plane crash attended.

Noah returned on Monday to Nashville and the school children were so happy to see him they mobbed him like he was a celebrity.

Noah and Sue Nielsen and Diane Saleska of the Comfort Dog Ministry visited Fox 2 News in the Morning to talk about their mission.
