Dave Murray’s Latest STL forecast and weather disco…WEDNESDAY…February 11, 2015:

*** The trend is all about cold…the first front rolls in today…the second on Friday and another over the weekend. On track for some of the coldest weather since the first half of January…but once again…no link between cold and moisture…no big storms in sight.***

WEDNESDAY:

A mix of clouds and sun…winds pick up.
WINDS: Northwest 15-30 M.P.H.
HIGH: 45 DEGREES…slow drop all afternoon

WEDNESDAY NIGHT:

Partly cloudy, windy and very cold…some spot flurries late night
WINDS: Northwest 15-30 M.P.H.
LOW: 15 DEGREES

THURSDAY:

Partly sunny and windy…just plan cold
WINDS: Northwest 15-25 M.P.H.
HIGH: 25 DEGREES

Cold is the trend…even colder weather Saturday and Saturday night.

THE WEATHER DISCO:

The drop in temperature the main feature over the next several days and night as the northwest flow remains locked in place…an impressive flow…but it is still all about winter…moisture link or not. The coldest in this run will be Wednesday night and Thursday and even colder Saturday and Saturday night. We could see a few spot snow flurries late Wednesday night and another shot of snow flurries on Saturday as the two waves of cold air dig in…but it is a very dry air mass… you can feel the skin cracking already.
