U.S. Bank robbery suspects apprehended
ST. PETERS, MO (KTVI) – Two St. Louis men living together were arrested in connection with last week’s bank robbery in St. Peters.
According to Officer Melissa Doss, a spokeswoman for the St. Peters Police Department, the robbery took place at the U.S. Bank branch on Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
On February 24, investigators received an anonymous tip identifying the person responsible. Doss said police found the suspect, 38-year-old Brendon Collier, in a motel off of Target Drive in north St. Louis County. He was arrested without incident. Cash from the robbery was recovered from Collier’s hotel room.
During an interview with police, Collier identified a second suspect, 53-year-old Marc Miller. Police said Miller gave Collier a ride to and from the bank in exchange for cash taken during the robbery. Some of that money was recovered from Miller’s residence.
Miller and Collier were charged with second-degree robbery. They’re in custody at St. Charles County Jail on $50,000 bond each.
The Illinois State Police, as well as Edwardsville and Fairview Heights police departments are working with prosecutors and St. Peters police because Miller and Collier may face additional charges in each of their jurisdictions.
