A London man who was made fun of on an anonymous message board site is now a reason to party. Simply known as “Dancing Man”, the once victim of body shaming is now the reason 2,000+ women are throwing a dance party in California. This coming after two pictures of Dancing Man appeared on the site 4chan, one where he is dancing and the other where he is looking down at the floor in what appears to be a look of embarrassment.

The caption of the 4chan post read: Found this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing.

The post went viral on 4chan and eventually got the attention of a writer from The Free Thought Project, Cassandra Rules. She and countless others went on Twitter to find Dancing Man, using the hashtag #FindDancingMan, so they could throw him a dance party in California.

Even celebrities like Pharell, Moby and Andrew W.K. joined in the search and wanted to come to the party.

Rules and her group set up a GoFundMe account to raise money to fly Dancing Man out to California and in two hours, the donations totaled $4000. Less than 24 hours after she sent out a call to find him, Rules found the Dancing man, who accepted the invitation to not only attend the party, but to challenge her to a dance off.
