Light cycle from Tron being auctioned off
Science-fiction fans now have the chance to own one of the light cycles from the movie Tron: Legacy.
Designed and produced by the Andrews’ Collection in 2011, the replica bike will now be auctioned off on May 2 in Dallas, Texas. According to Gizmag.com, the bike will command a value between $25,000-$40,000. The light cycle is powered with a 96 volt electronic motor and lithium batteries, computer controlled throttle and comes equipped with hydraulic front and rear brakes. The bike is listed “as-new condition”, due to the fact that it has been ridden only a few times between facilities of the Andrews’ Collection to ensure that it is still operating at full capacity.
Although it is incapable of producing a wall of light from it’s rear when riding, the light cycle replica can produce gleaming light around the body of the bike.
