Man robbed then shot in north St. Louis early Saturday

A man was robbed and then shot in north St. Louis early Saturday. Police say it happened around 1:45am at Union and Wabada in the Kingshighway West neighborhood.

The 37-year-old victim told St. Louis police that he was leaving a bar and walking to his car when he was approached by three men. The suspects took the victim’s sweatshirt, shoes, jewelry, cellphone, and money. They then told the victim to lay face down on the ground and then shot him in his left thigh before fleeing.

This victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Police continue to investigate. There is no description of the suspects.
