ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- When the weather warms, the ticks come out. While they're a nuisance, they can also make you very sick and even cause death. Dr. Carter Fenton from Total Access Urgent Care talks about what signs to look for.

Symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Chills
  • Malaise
  • Muscle pain
  • Nausea / Vomiting / Diarrhea
  • Confusion
  • Conjunctival injection (red eyes)
  • Rash (in up to 60% of children, less than 30% of adults)
