ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-It was to be quite a sight in the sky over downtown St. Louis Sunday morning as massive equipment was scheduled to be moved by helicopter as part of the rehabilitation of the historic Arcade Building at 801 Olive Street, which is becoming apartments. Some of the heavy mechanical equipment that a building like that requires gets placed on the roof and that's nineteen stories up. That's where the helicopter comes in.

Unfortunately, with rain and storms in the forecast, that work has been postponed. Work crews will try to reschedule the work for another weekend, when crowds are once again low.

When the project does happen, the Ballpark Village parking lot will be used as a landing and staging area for this lift, with the helicopter making approximately nine trips back and forth to transport and place the equipment.
