Two men shot, killed on Mother’s Day in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- St. Louis City Police are investigating two fatal shootings that occured on Mother's Day in St. Louis. One victim was discovered inside of a car in the 2800 block of Taylor near Maffitt. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. A baby was also found in a car seat, in the back. The child was not hurt. People were able to located the mother and returned the baby safely.

Authorities say the victim was a 24-year-old African- American male. It is unclear if he was the child's father.

The second shooting happened on North Euclid at Cupples Place. Police say a 23-year-old man was shot dead in front of his church. He was shot in the head.

There are no suspects in either case.
