Police: Ferguson woman found shot to death in car

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A Ferguson woman is dead, but a male passenger and two children in her car are unhurt following a shooting in St. Louis.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the victim has been identified as 24-year-old Kendra Rankin.

Police say Rankin was found fatally shot Thursday night inside a car. She had been shot in the head and the hip. They found her body around 10:30p.m. in a car at the intersection of Enright Avenue at Sarah. She was shot multiple times.

The male passenger told police he was asleep and woke up to the sound of gunshots. His two sons, ages 4 and 1, were in the car at the time of the shooting.

Police have no suspects, and there is no known motive for the killing.
