ST. CLAIR COUNTY, IL (KTVI)- Agencies across the area are getting ready for more flooding and more rescues. The trouble across the region is due to the ground being saturated. Also with a tropical style dumping of rain, the water has nowhere to go.
There are also serious concerns with the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill headed this way.
County officials have spent the last couple of days getting equipment ready and moved into strategic locations where it might be needed. Things like generators, pumps, and this huge automotic sand bagging machine will be placed at central locations.
The big concern is the amount of rain. Officials say they've had about six inches over the last few weeks and they fear that could double in the coming days.
