FORSYTH COUNTY, GA (KTVI) – A deputy from the Forsyth Sheriff’s department in Georgia sat in a parked car for 25 minutes to demonstrate what happens when children and/or pets are left inside a car on a hot day.

It got so hot in the car, the cameras stopped working several times. When the officer left the vehicle his heart rate was 151 beats per minute, an early symptom of heatstroke.
