WEBSTER GROVES, MO (KTVI) - 4th of July celebrations are already under way in the St. Louis metro area. In Webster Groves the fun came with its share of challenges. Heavy rains caused organizers of the Lion's Club annual festival to move their 55-year-old event to a new location and solid ground. They split the carnival space with the city and school district.
Meanwhile Fair St. Louis also made adjustments to their set-up. Planners reduced the number of stages, added decking and moved food vendors to higher ground to avoid the grass.
Time and parking was also a major factor in Webster Groves so officials found shuttle company and satellite parking lot to make transportation easier for visitors.
