ST. PETERS, MO (KTVI) - Another place prohibiting fireworks? St. Peters.

They're making it known with the use of "Fireworks Prohibited" signs up in every neighborhood.

Yet residents are still confused about the fireworks ban.

The misunderstanding arises when people see fireworks stands in what looks like cities in St. Charles County. The fireworks stands are put on parcels of land that are in the unincorporated part of the County, and people think they`re actually in the City. Some cities, like St. Charles, allow fireworks and others like St. Peters don`t allow them at all.

Melissa Doss a spokesperson for the St. Peters Police Department joins Fox 2 to clear up the confusion.
